Date night to Brian Regan

I love going on dates with my husband and getting to spend time with him. I also love to laugh and seeing live comedian do live stand up shows. We got to see Brian Regan At the end of January when he came to Dallas. he is one of my Favorites. He is pretty clean humor for the most part and is just awesome at what he does. Thanks babe for the awesome date night! Two of my favorite things rolled into one.

The flash was really bright for Gerret

First train ride to the Perot Museum

Right before new years we decided to take the coaster down to Dallas to visit the Perot museum. why not kill two birds with one stone and make it Connor first train ride. He loved it, and it was nice to not have to deal with holiday traffic. the museum is pretty cool, loved the kids play area of the museum super fun and where we spent most of our time. we look forward to going back sometime soon! Unfortunately I didn't take very many pictures while we were there but these two.

Christmas 2013

We had a great quite Christmas here in Dallas this past year. Its become harder to travel during the holidays with kids and schedules. I would imagine that will only become more of a issue as the years go by. Gerret had two weeks off so we were able to spend lots of time together as a family and do some traditions we love doing over Christmas. Such as looking at Christmas lights while eating cookies, Going to the Gaylord Texan for dinner and walking around to see there exhibits. making homemade pizza on Christmas eve together, and of course going to see Santa! This past christmas was super fun as Connor is getting older he is really getting into the holiday.  Its great to talk to him about the real meaning of Christmas and what it signifies, and see him try and understand it. For christmas dinner we spent it with my parents and my brothers its always nice to have some cousin time. It was a great and relaxing christmas this year we loved every minute of it!

                                                        I love decorating for Christmas
Connor got a little tree to decorate in his room this year!
                                                            Visiting Santa at Safety town
                                                            Christmas eve jammies
hanging out with papa and Ella watching the train.
                                                     Cousin time watching polar express!
for new years we went to the Gaylord, super fun!

Thanksgiving

I have been SO incredibly bad about blogging these last several months. I really want to stay up to date with everything, but lets face it with a baby days away that's probably not gonna happen easily now. So I will pick up where I left off in the fall. For Thanksgiving this past year we went to Houston to spend it with my brother and his family. Most of us were there so it was great to see and spend time with most of the brothers and the kids could have time with the cousins. Amy did an amazing job as usual and took on a really big crowd. A very big thank you for hosting and everything you did to make it a wonderful thanksgiving. We spent plenty of time eating, playing outside, going to the park, doing some black Friday shopping of course, and laughing one of my favorite things to do while we are all together. Unfortunately the day after turkey day, Connor started  just about all of us off with a nice stomach bug. Nothing like kicking of the Christmas season with the pukes;{ It became quite comical when Austin and Cole came down with it as well about an hour later.  We were all quarantined to our rooms. By the time we all got home most of the adults were feeling it too. Fortunately that was the last day of the trip. not a fun way to spend it though. Aside from the pukes going down it was a blast and we had so much fun spending time together! Thanks again to Eric and Amy for being such awesome hosts!

Of course we had time on the I pad for games.
Yeah we made a big mess of toys and games in the living room!
A little fun riding the power wheel. look out toddler driving!
Eric had a rocket to shoot off while we were their, Yeah it didn't work so well.
Gerret and Eric having fun on the tire swing.
Once everyone got down to Houston we decided it was a good time to announce the Gender of Baby Montgomery number 2. We are having a Girl!!!  We are super excited;} Bring on the bows, dolls and tea sets!

Pumpkin patch

October wouldn't be complete without going to a pumpkin patch! I love the fall and being outside with all the leaving changing colors, and the cool crisp air. Its just a fun busy time of year. We took Connor to the big orange pumpkin farm out in Selina. They have a great selection of pumpkins along with a hay ride, petting zoo, hay maze and a barrel ride! He loved it all and we enjoyed some family time spent there.

He loved picking out his pumpkin
                                                              This boy is getting tall!

                                                                 Enjoying the hay ride
My too favorite people in the world!

Expanding!

We announced a while ago, but I wanted to put it on the blog as well!! We are expanding the Montgomery clan come this April. We are all really excited. Connor doesn't quite understand, but when you ask him where is the baby he points to my tummy. I know it will be a even bigger awakening for him once he or she gets here.  I am 17 weeks now and starting to feel human again. morning sickness really kicked my butt this time around. Zofran became my friend so that I could function, take care of Connor and still work.  We will find out in just a few more weeks right before thanksgiving if its a he or she. Either way it will fun for Connor to have a brother to wrestle with or a sister to be the big brother too! We will keep you posted on the announcement to come soon!

Texas State fair

We have lived in Texas now for five years and we haven't ventured to the state fair since we moved here. We heard over and over again how you have to go just once and see how great it is, so we decided to give it a a shot a go this past October. They only have it for three weeks so basically anytime you go will be insanely busy. We went on a Wednesday and it wasn't bad, I was expecting much worse. We got in super cheap too! If you donate a few cans of food then you get in for three bucks instead of the normal 17. Anything to save money I am totally for! we had a  few corn dogs, some funnel cake, Connor went on a few rides, checked out the petting zoo, Connor got to be a farmer go threw this cute maze and do some shopping for his farm and ride a tractor. Then we walked around and enjoyed all the people watching which is one of my favorite things to do in a fair setting;) We had a great time. I wouldn't say we would go back every year, but I am glad we tried it and experienced it, the fair its self was pretty big and they did offer a ton of family things to do which was very nice! We had a great first experience at the fair!
